Hello, my name is Lisa, and I am a yoga teacher, dance instructor, fan of outdoor activities, and an enthusiastic book reader. I believe a continuous practice of yoga will move the student beyond physical exercise. Along with building strength and flexibility, yoga can awaken the spirit, increase breath control, deepen internal intentions, and create an individual and unique life path for all conscientious practitioners.
My goal, when I create and teach a yoga class, is to bring awareness of the physical body through breath and movement, and also to stimulate the mind with personal intention, mindfulness, and discovering grace from within.
Whether you are a new student or an experienced yogi, I will endeavor to create a welcoming space by allowing time for quiet contemplation, sharing motivational music, and offering options in yoga postures.
I have listed below some highlights I have accomplished in my own personal yoga journey: ● Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500)
● Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP)
● 200 hour and 300 hour teacher training; certifications in Trapeze, Yin, and SUP yoga
● 30+ years teaching dance and 10+years teaching yoga
● I studied with many amazing teachers including Jenny Lintvedt, Marion Mugs McConnell, Leslie Simionescu, and Stephanie Lynn
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to meeting you in a yoga class!
We are a Yoga Alliance Accredited yoga school.
